Default No - only the outer seats in 2nd row have LATCH

Though 3rd row seats have LATCH and all rear seats (including 2nd row center)have the tether anchor which is brilliant for the likes of the Recaro Start booster.

Default If installing just one child seat you could use the 2 inboard latch points and the center seat has a

center LATCH point at the bottom of the back.

Default That's not how LATCH is designed...

While you could use those inboard LATCH anchors, the spacing is usually too far apart and not recommended for LATCH installation. LATCH anchors are 11.02" (280mm) apart on center. In our Touareg, the two inboard anchors are well over this distance, so I'm assuming that the same is true in the Q7.

My recommendation would be to measure the spacing and use a seatbelt/top tether installation for the center seating position if the inboard anchors exceed LATCH distance specs.

Interesting, is this a 5 point harness or are the kids secured by the stock seat belt.
