Thoughts in 18" vs 19" for new Q7
Hello everyone.
I am about to buy my second Q7 and wanted to ask some opinions on 18" vs 19" wheels.
I was thinking of upgrading the wheel package to the 19" as an upgrade over the standard 18" as I think they look a lot nicer. But my hesitation is that I live in the Northeast and am concerned about the handling differences between the two, especially in snowy weather (assuming stock tires).
Do you think I give up handling or traction? I'd love to get some opinions..thanks

I assume from your response that you think I should use 18" inch in winter driving and not 19"?
thanks again

I use the dealer for storage. They had a package for 3 years was like $150 and they wash/clean the wheels before they store. On top of that, it's like $20 each season for the swap. Adds to the cost, but it isn't drastically expensive and is very convenient.
Keep in mind, using winters for roughly 1/4 - 1/3 of the year means you'll postpone having to replace your main tires by that much longer.
I'd suggest look at getting the 19's now and look for a winter tire/wheel package deal later if the up front outlay is too much. Otherwise, yes, the 18's are going to be better in snow/slush because they're a bit narrower and can "cut thru" the white stuff a bit better than the 19's.
