Hi,
I'm Getting ready to change tires and I want to see what people are using as a replacement on there stock OEM 20" wheels.
If you could name the brand model, and size along with a picture and your opinion this could help lots of people choose a better tire choice.
Also for the people that went up a size with the 20" wheel let us know your experience with the ride, and handling characteristics.
Thanks,
Marioec

I tried the Yoko Parada spec X's and found them to be to soft on the sidewall and gave to much flex in twisty mountain passes that we drive frequently. also, they were a little slimmer in width and did not offer the same type of protection on the sidewall for the rim as the OEM Conti's that came on the car. I stayed with the OEM Conti's when I replaced my tires because it kept the same type of driving characteristics I enjoyed with the Q when we first purchased it.

I really dig the Yoko Parada Spec X in 295/45/20. Wouldnt recommend them for snowy area's though. Ran them once in the winter, they were not bad, but barely put any real miles on them. I am not a fan of Conti's although so far I have nothing bad to say about the stock Conti's. I would not buy them again for one simple reason, all the other sets I have had on other vehicles have failed prematurely and their customer service was No Customer Service/NO backing whatsoever on Warrany at all. They appear to sell tires for manufacturers not consumers and could care less about them.

I think 295/45/20 will give the Q7 a more aggressive look and you could find better deals on that size also.
People say that fitment is not a issue sow I'm going to try them. I just need to chose a brand now .

OEM Conti 4x4 are perfect.
The problem is that most people compare worn out Conti to brand new replacement - of course almost any tire with 0 miles will be more comfortable and quiet than the 40K miles one.

I just got Yoko Parada X 275/45/20 placed after one of my Michelin Touring HP tires got a nail on the side wall. Even though I had over half the tread left (not bad for 20K miles), they could not locate said tires as they are no longer in production. I had to replace all 4 tires and tried the Yokos from tire rack. Preliminary drive has been smooth so far. They seem thinner than the Michelins but hopefully it will have similar durability. I don't intend to switch for the winter (mostly city/suburb driving) so I'll find out if they are just as good as the Michelins (or better) in snow.
