Correct, if you move it out of dynamic once you have the trailer power connected, it will not go back but it will stay in dynamic mode if you leave it there.
I know this is no use if you need to switch while travelling to allow for poor road surfaces or for extra height but that is the way it is setup.
I saw the 2 prong connector in the rear area. Where does it connect? I thought you just had to connect the brake controller to the connector under the dash.

I've never had to connect that myself but I've read that others found both ends in close proximity to each other near the spare tire.
All I can ask with certainty is have you connected all (both I believe) plugs in to the tow module?
Figured it out once I received my ECU Module. The two prong plug on the tow hitch wiring harness plugs into the foam covered plug that is next to the tire changing tools.

Quick question. I shall be towing a race car from the UK to Hungary. As it shall be in the height of the summer, has anybody had overheating issues? My car does not have the factory tow package which I believe has a larger alternator and some additional cooling items (not sure what). Any modifications that help with cooling issues that should be done?
In addition, I have the paddle shifts, do people generally use down shifts to brake rather than using brakes where possible?
I'm towing a 6,100 lb trailer without any issue with my Q7 4.2, except last week when thermostat fail after 7 years. Just replaced by a new one and ok. I towed it also with my Cayenne 04 3.2 for 5 years, even in Florida at 109F in the dash display.
I pull my 22ft Malibu VLX wakeboard boat which is rated at 3500lbs without any problems. Ill be pulling it over 2 passes in 3 weeks and have little concerns of my Q7s ability to do the job. I do have the 4.2L V8 and will be doing a coolant system flush to make sure my cooling system is running top notch before the long road trip.

Have you ever changed your trans fluid? How many miles are on your Q7? Thanks
