Towing with Q7 Gas S-Line

Hello:
I’m looking for feedback from someone who has direct experience towing with the Q7 gas S-Line. We typically tow a dual-axle ski boat set-up at 4,500 lbs.
We are considering either the 2012 Q7 S-Line or the 2012 Q7 TDI. We understand that the TDI has more torque and may be better suited to towing. Unfortunately, my wife is not a fan of the diesel and the standing start hesitation of the TDI in city driving is a negative.
What has been your towing experience with the S-Line? Does the 333 Hp V-6 have the power to pull this load up a grade without needing to put on the hazard lights?
Other vehicle also being considered, MB GL350-Blue and MB GL450.
Thanks

I've pulled a few of the 4k+ lbs uhaul trailers, and didn't have any problems with lack of power, even up steep inclines. I do have a Q7 Gas S-line, but it's the 4.2 V8 with 350 hp (MY 2010).

I. Have a 5000 lb boat + 600lb trailer (?) + gas etc. I'm sure it's about 6000lb total. I bought the non-Sline to pull the boat! I actually just ordered it last week. I added the towing option which has a spec of 6500 lb. I hope it works. BTW. I bought the gas version. I think I'll be ok. 8 speed transmission at 280 hp. It's not what I prefer. I'm replacing a Tahoe with a big v8. I live next o the lake and go about 12 times a year. Not too much. I hope I can make it up that ramp. I think so. I have a 21 foot tige v-drive.

The Q makes a very good tow vehicle. I'm sure 333hp will be quite enough for a 5000lb load. We regularly tow a 6000lb boat/trailer combo over mountains and it's handled the grades very easily. I wouldn't lose one wink of sleep worrying about the Q7 S-Line's towing ability.
PS. Did you realize that the Q will sense it's backing down a grade and automatically reverse the braking bias so the rear wheels will brake stronger than the fronts greatly reducing front wheel skidding when you brake down a boat ramp?
