Trunk won't go down by itself

Hi again. Btw merry Xmas.
today when I started the car and my wife opened the trunk at the same time, something weird happened. The trunk did just open half the way and now I haft to close it manually.
I can see that the retraction latch in the boot is in closed position.
anyone had that problem that it works opening it but don' work when you try to close it when pressing the button?

Have you tried holding the close button to reset the position?
