Unknown facts about the Q7?
I'l' start out 1st.
If the wipers are on in the front, when you put it in reverse, the wipers will also come on.
Anyone else have any?

Re: Steering Lock
Not sure if anyone noticed it, but after stopping the engine on a Q7 equipped with Advanced Key, you can press and hold the STOP Button a 2nd time to lock the steering.
P.S. I didn't read the manual. Having too much fun exploring the Q7.

Re: high beams
When you turn the headlights off with the high beams on, the next time you turn on the lights, the low beams come on automatically. To use the high beams again, you need to turn move the stalk lever to the low beam position, then back to high beam.

Manual release for fuel flap behind side panel inside tailgate
press and hold lock/unlock = all windows go up/down (EU models or Vag it baby)
Park and remove key with indicator/turn signal on - it becomes parking light (EU models, maybe Vag it)
The key knows if you last locked or opened car when away form it.

Re: Unknown facts about the Q7? - I have a few...
...
1) It might just be mine however after coming off the motorway at high speeds > 70mph +, the car lowers back down to the preset suspension height...LUV IT! - mine is S-line with air suspension.
As I said, this may only apply to mine as I have had my suspension lowered.
2) Also, IF you have 'AUTO' set on the driving light control, the cluster lights light and dim according to how much daylight there is - pretty cool!
3) The parking sensor bleeps away when you are in motion and close to an object however when you do stop and are stationary for a few minute or so and yet still close to an object, the bleeps/tones lowers a few decibles so as to not annoy the driver...very cool!
4) NOT NEW news here - on an emergency stop the hazards come on automatically
5) When the hazard lights are on, if you move the indicator left or right, the indicator cuts in and hazards stop. The hazard lights re-engaged though when indicator is turned off.
6) If you have keyless entry, you can start the engine then lock the car with the key whilst engine is still running - I do that to warm the car on cold mornings.
7) I have set my keyless entry to only unlock the driver door on touch...LUV IT...becuase wife has to 'BEG' to get in when we are out...I trade her on a few past loses at the time - like allowing me to buy some new toys (just got a Canon 40D off her)...LUV IT!
