Hi,

My car does not come with bluetooth function by default as its considered an option. I was considering to get one after market which was proving very expensive here to set up.

I found following on one of the local forums here in Hong Kong to unlock the bluetooth as it seems hardware is there but require software unlock.

"Unlocking the MMI Hidden menu

select control module 5F in vag-com
select adaptation -10"
select channel 6
set value to 1
press test
press save
press Done close software

press car+setup for 6 second to reboot

Unlock Bluetooth

in hidden menu

main/diagnose/settings
aux/ami. BT/ no -AMI
tel setting misc no WLAN / no NAD/BT/HFP
Vac-com block 5f channel 17 put 1

Does any one knows about this and if some one tried it?

You still need to get a bluetooth module (and probably a mic) and plug it in! That is just the coding to include it in the loop.
