Default Updated: vibration over 65 MPH

Went to Prestige Imports last week. This time they did the road-forced balance and successfully fixed the problem! Thanks to service manager (Mike) who is really nice and resourceful. For those with the same problem, make sure that road-forced balance is used the first time.

Glad to hear. Good that they were able to resolve the issue.

Default I've always had to road force balance the tires on my Audis. In fact, there are different...

types of road force balancing machines and the one at my nearby Audi dealer does the best job. I had tires road force balanced at a tire dealer (Direct Tire in the Boston area) and had to have the dealer balance them correctly to stop the vibration. The dealer even provided a print-out of before and after balance readings. Audi suspensions do provide excellent feedback to the driver but this same precision makes any tire out of balance very noticable.

Default Not all Hunter Force Balancers can do StraightTrak LFM which I'm guess is why your dealer did a

better job. None of the Direct Tire stores in the Boston area have LFM capabilities. Only a couple of Audi dealers have it: Brookline, Ira and Rietzel (according to Hunter's website).

Default Re: Where do you get a list of Audi dealers with Hunter equipment?

I tried to look on their website, could no find it in my area. I'm in Souther California and would like to know which Audi dealership has this equipment.

Tks,
JC

Default I used Hunter's GSP9700 locator and search for "Audi". Don't know if it's 100% accurate though
