It will fit with wheels on the flat seat and i would sit next to it. Use the cargo net for securing if needed. Great pram and let's face it which car would you rather drive? German every time. Just budget accordingly. It will cost more to maintain but in a smash it's the only thing i would want my family in.

I would definitely order the tow package if you feel that you may use it.
The retrofit, which I did last month, runs around $800US without labor (I did the install myself) - still need to hook up the electrical though. So $550 for the factory installed one is a better deal and I believe they increase the tow capacity from 5500 to 6000 lbs.

But being in Manhattan - you have to weigh the consequences of towing a trailer or having exposed cargo in a hitch hauler. You will definitely like to ride/drive the Q7 over the Odyssey or Sienna. I have had both. The Honda is a better driving van and does provide for some driver satisfaction. The Sienna is slightly better built but its definitely the "Buick" of minivans as far as ride and handling goes. Go check out Odyclub.com if you have not already.
