corner cameras are because its a super wide angle, this gives it a fisheye look..


Software de-warps it so it seems one camera can look in two different directions and image is square and lines are straight.. this is 4:3 aspect ratio.. recoding the MMI to not have corner cameras wont be a good idea because vehicles with corner cameras have 180 degree FOV lenses and without corner cameras the camera is a 90 degree FOV or less so the physical hardware is different.. you'll just get a circle on your display with a fisheye image more than likely.

Oh I’m not coding them out; I was suggesting that the graphic is associated with the different cameras and that sucks.

First world problems, I wish Audi has updated the tech more in the Q7s during the last few years. Better nav, cameras, and folding mirrors when locking the car, oh and the updated speedo setup would have been nice too! Audi pretty much left the Q5/Q7 circa 2007 while updating the other models.
