For a US-spec Q7, where are the VIN plates (or stickers) located? I know about the one on the corner of the dash (drivers side). Is there one on/by the drivers door? Trunk?
If someone could post a picture of their VIN plate/sticker that would be very helpful.

When you open the door its staring right at you. Its metallic with a hologram.
Top number (cant remember)
Serial number. (W,A,U,ZZZ,4L means its a German, Audi, Factory ID, body type, Q7) after that is date code and number.
Gross Vehicle weight
Gross train or MAM
Front axle max
Rear axle max
Engine spec
There should be a paint spec too.
OLD thread, some cars did not have them in 2007 or they were hidden somewhere else. Sometimes in trunk by toolkit!

PS build date displays in your MMI

Thanks-good stuff. I had seen that thread but there seemed to be some doubt that ALL Q7's had that sticker, or if it was different in the US vs. the rest of the world. There aren't too many threads out there about folks showing off VIN stickers.
I drove out to the dealer in Boulder to see what they had, and the 2014 Q5 in the showroom had the VIN sticker at the same spot as your picture(bottom end of the B pillar). But the sales guy seemed to think Audi changed some things with VIN stickers in 2012. I dunno. It seems like there is a lot of conflicting information out there.
As you may have guessed, for some reason my door sticker is missing and I'm trying to figure out why. The dash VIN is there, the VIN sticker in the trunk is there, and obviously the VIN shows up on the MMI. I bought the car CPO, and there is no record of any accidents or issues. Could it be that my 2010 never had a door sticker, or did it get removed by someone for some reason. Curious...
