Default that does sound stupid. Probably the reason, why when I went to open

up a 911 Turbo at the Audi/VW/Porche/Mazda dealer, it was completely dead, and the switches were working. But the interior was great!

Default There have been a couple of cases where it failed 4LO-910-181 plus TSB...

Ask your service about:
- Battery manager 4LO-910-181
- TSB 91-07-13<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/q7/msgs/22454.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/q7/msgs/22454.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default If your svc mgr can't find it, ask him/her about TSB "2014127/1" (same thing, different name)

Note that this TSB only applies to 2007s with VIN up to 7D063347 and involves updating the MMI with a later version (i.e. firmware update)

You need to remove the driver's seat in order to remove/install the battery

Default Read my post more closely...

the only reason the key was in there was because the start button would not work so I tried the key. Of course with not power once you insert it you can't get it back out.

I am going to hold off on pushing the TSB with my dealer for now. I have a hunch there is a software bug involving the start button. I have noticed a slight delay which varies in length between when you press the start button and when the ignition fires. In my dead battery case I know I was about to start the car; I recall pushing in on the brake and pressing the start button. However, I released the start button before the car started to turn over because someone pulled in my driveway behind me. My hunch is that the act of releasing the start button just before the ignition engages may put the car in a weird state. As an ex software guy I smell an untrapped condition.

I am tempted to experiment with my hunch if a i can find a few hours to kill. I'll let you all know if I try it out.
