What other luxury SUVs did everyone own before the Q7?
Mom had a 01 RX300. I liked this alot. This was before everyone and their dogs owned one. 2nd row was spacious, and I generally liked the way, it was laid out, etc. Turning radius sucked though. Felt like a car. No issues whatsoever. Sold with around 20k miles on it.
Dad had a 02 ML320. Couldn't find one loaded, so ended up with a base model with Bose, and 3rd row seats. Felt like a truck, loud however the Engine sounded great. The 3.2L V6 was pathetic. 215hp. Felt sluggish. Very heavy feeling steering, and the brake pedal was HARD. The Q7 feels miles better.
Was a tank in the snow, but the 3rd row seats were possibly the crappiest design ever. 2nd row was cramped, but not too bad. Trunk was big. Coolant leaked at ~1000 miles. Got the hoses tightened twice, before it just kept leaking. 2 weeks later, new coolant hoses came in. Alarm kept going off. New Teleaid Module. 2 week wait.

nothing like the touareg and Q7. its really crazy how they share so much and they drive and feel completly different.
