If I had it to do again I would just go with a new set with TPMS straight from TireRack.
I would just be buying the rims. No tires. I would be buying a set of tires from Tire rack or somewhere else. I would probably have to buy the TPMS sensor separate.

Anyone have these porsche wheels on their Q7? Found a cheap set for the winter... just want to double-check that they will fit (a pic for how they look would be great!)

They should fit no problem.

As long as they are 18", 17 inch won't fit!

I have Nitto Terra Grappler's (I am assuming you are not talking about the Trail Grappler MT or Mud Grappler) as the winter setup on my GL450. They do not have the snow flake designation of a snow tire but they do quite well for my usage. I live in Southern California and my folks live in Tahoe. We head to Big Bear, Mammoth and Tahoe several times each winter and this is why I have two sets of wheels/tires.

If you drive in very cold and icy conditions I wold recommend a true snow tire over the Terra Grappler. It's the rubber compound that makes the difference and without the snow flake, your rubber compound gets very hard in really cold conditions which makes it less useful, regardless of the tread patterns.

That said, the Nitto does pretty well in the snow and OK on ice and rides well and is quiet on the freeway...hope this helps.
