Default Woohoo! Finally got the call, our Q7 is at our dealer and ready for.......

us to come and get it. To say I'm excited is an understatement. We have to wait until Saturday to go get it so I still have 4 days.......but after 2 months, whats 4 days.

A question for the Q7 crew:

I am having the oil changed after the 1300 miles we put on it during our trip to clean out all the "impurities" that may have shaved off during initial break in. Are there any other items I should be looking at before we take delivery? I have a VAG-COM and will code the remote windows myself if I can't get the dealer to do it for me. Any other ideas?

Wow. Why did it take so long to ship it here?

Default I was told 6-8 weeks initially. It took 7 weeks when we did.......

Volvo's European Delivery a few years ago. There is the time to truck our Q7 from Munich to the port. Customs to clear, waiting for the boat, loading, the trip itself with stops along the way, unloading for us was California which there is customs again, and then train trip up to the Northwest. Maybe we just missed a boat and it took an extra 4-5 days.......who really knows, but I am told they can be as quick as 6 weeks if everything falls into place and your drop off points are closer to the ports.

Default I have heard that changing the oil before the first interval is not recommended

as the initial fill has an additive in it to help engine parts seat.
