This might not be a big deal to the EU folks, but the ability to raise and lower the windows using the remote key fob (i.e. not key in lock cylinder) is disabled in US spec cars.
Having just taken delivery of my Q7 yesterday, I decided to see if it was possible to enable as it was in my A4. I'm happy to report that YES, you can activate this feature and it's really, really simple to do (provided you have access to a CAN compatible VAG-COM cable).
To do this, simply add 128 to the coding of module 46. Adding 128 enables "Comfort Function via Remote". I also change the adaptation channel 61 from 10 to 15.
Module 46
Recode: 7632925 -> 7633053
Adaptation, Ch 061: 10 -> 15
I used the information provided by <a href="http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Audi_Q7_%284L%29_Comfort_System">Ross Tech's Wiki</a> as a guide.
In case anyone wonders, yes, pinch protection still works. I still have my fingers to prove it :-)

I changed the coding on Module 17
Initial Coding: 2641263
New Coding: 2641203
As always, the coding on your car may be different depending upon the equipment/trim. (i.e. the 1st 4 numbers will be different if you have Adaptive Cruise Control).
Disclaimer: Everyone who rides in my car ALWAYS wears their seatbelt without exception (myself included of course). I chose to disable the seat belt chimes for my own reasons.

<a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/">www.ross-tech.com</a> or you can bribe <a href="http://www.steve-hall.com/cgi-bin/VAG-Locator.pl">people that have them</a> with beer and such for the use of theirs.

They have multiple option and I would like to get something that will do without the $600.00 price.
Thanks
