Thanks but firstly I want to adjust the clutch (found general info only: to apply power and tighten screw - but which screw...?) and if it fails, I will buy the new clutch.
I was experiencing jerking when the supercharger clutch engages as well, although I haven't run across any ingo about adjustment. I would imagine that any adjustment would be difficult with the clutch in place.
All info that I found when experiencing this said to replace the clutch assembly. You could attempt to relearn the clutch kiss point if you have access to vcds.
Id be interested about the test / life of clutch measurement i read about it as well. Apparently it knows how to calculate its wear based on the crank speed vs Supercharger speed?
There are no adjustment with the clutch as is without removing and doing some grinding.
The front part is stationary with the exception of spinning and magnetizing the back part.
The back part is the part that moves once its magnetized. As both sides starts to wear, the gap between them will
increased. Even if you try to reinstall it energizing it per audi instruction, the center(black part in the pic) doesn’t move the entire plate any closer. Its a non wear area. You would have to grind that part down with a flat disc sander so the clutch and the front magnetic part can be closer for contact.
I have done this and it drives so much better. But sometimes theres a pause lag or something because I don’t have vcds to reset the clutch adaptation. I assume the adaptation only serves as when to have the supercharger turn on and off. There’s no slipping into full contact as you would have in a transmission clutch set up.
My 034motorsports clutch delete will be here this week and I’ll be doing some testing.
This does work for a bit but eventually will go back to having that low load engagement harshness.

I've been following their clutch delete. Has the tune for the 4M been released yet? It'd be great if you can let us know your thoughts once you get it installed. I'd love to have that immediate throttle response like our '14 A6 in the Q7 (without needing to be in sport).
