I notice mine squealing when backing up. I brought to my deal and they said there was some recall/fix that had to due with some pins in the calipers. They ordered the parts (took a few weeks) and did the repair. I have not had any issues since and my brake are quiet. I bought and had the car serviced in Michigan, but I'm in New York now so its a colder climate.

Just called the dealer and they are going to take the Q7 in for an appointment in 2 weeks and check the fronts.
If all goes well I will get a free front brake job out of it and I am going to check the rears and see if they really need replacing. If they do, I will bring my own parts and they will do the rears at the same time and I will only pay labor.
Not a bad deal!

I've had the same squeal problem for about 6 months now, and I figured I'll share my case for all:

MY2018
Squeals around 3 ~ 6 MPH with moderate light brake pressure, both fwd and reverse, happens frequently.

Told service advisor about TSB at 20k mile service (Stevens Creek Audi, California), and they performed the TSB #2050737/8 with no fuss.
1x brake lining 4M0-698-151-BD
2x Spring 4M0-615-269-B
4x bolt N-911-476-01

Issue is now gone, and I still love the car overall. At least we get a free brake pad out of it.

Cheers,

My 2017 S7 brakes squealed as well. I changed out everything to SP Performance rotors and pads. Squealing stopped and they actually take the OEM brake rotors and machine/coat them since there is no aftermarket solution for these cars. check them out.

Adams rotors does the same thing when there is no model for them to cut a rotor from a blank. They start with an OEM rotor and machine to your choosing.

You are correct, the only issue I saw was Adams Rotors took 2-3 weeks to ship the product. I called SP, got them to match the Adams Rotors price and I had them at my house in under a week. Their customer service guy was great to work with. I have heard great things about Adams rotors too though.

Paid some 240/piece.
Just curious how much did that cost you (dealer doing paying for pads, you paying for rotors?)

I just had the same thing done and i was SHOCKED at the price. they charged me $942 bucks. Basically just gave me free pads and 1 hour of labor credit. I complained cause they told me it would only be 500. They said they forgot that i have to cover the cost of the sensors too.

I ordered rear parts off of europaparts.

Brake Rotor (Q7 4M, 350x28, Rear) SKU: 013019 QTY 2 @ $79.95ea

Brake Pad Set (Rear, D22307, Genuine) SKU: 010935 QTY 1 @ $109.95ea

Brake Pad Sensor (Rear) SKU: 013474 QTY 2 @ $19.95ea

and it was $65 to ship ground from NJ to MA.

The dealer is going to do the fronts under squealing TSB.
The rear pads are literally OEM in a sealed package with Audi branding, and they are cheaper than going direct to my dealer parts counter. Rotors are Zimmerman who makes OEM.
I see no reason why one cannot get parts like these and then bring them to your local dealer... they may not "warranty the parts" but at the same time it's worth it to save over half on parts if they are doing the labor.
Those damn pad wear sensors are actually cheap but Audi charges an arm and a leg for them... no reason to do so... they also sell those cheap on Rock Auto....

There's a specialized chain store call Brake Plus that seems to have very good reputation. I'll probably bring my parts to have them do the job. Labor should be a lot cheaper than dealership. But I'm not sure if Audi requires any special tool to reset the parking brake on rear.

Thanks for the info. Is this the pad that you got? https://www.europaparts.com/brake-pa...8451r-oea.html
