Hi - The dealer originally stated the glass was acoustic for 2018. I then asked for confirmation in writing. After they researched this further they learned it is not. Having said this I installed a DB meter on my iPhone. The Q7 is as quiet as my 2013 A8 on the highway!!! In some cases the A8 was 1Db lower and in other cases the Q7. On rough highway pavement the Q7 was 1to 2Db lower than the A8. Granted the human brain cannot differentiate noise levels until 3Db.

Brimstone, I added the driver assist package. In the end I would have kicked myself if I hadn't ordered it. I agree the ACC with traffic stop/go will be a great benefit during my daily commute. Thanks for your feedback - Dan

Do not need it, it is just me and my wife. We will have the grandkids from time to time in the back but only for short distances.

2018 Q7 Has Arrived - Cobra Beige
Well my 2018 Q7 in Cobra Beige arrived 3 weeks ago. Couldn't be happier. While there are pros and cons between the new Q7 and the 2013 A8 I traded I couldn't be happier. Have had many compliments on the exterior and interior colors. I would suggest to anyone ordering a Q7 to add the luxury and air suspension packages. My daily commute is 100 miles each day and both take the edge off the ride. Here are some photos.
