2022 Door ambient lights stopped working

2019 Audi A7 Contour/Ambient lights stopped working
I just had the issue looked at by Audi and they didn't have enough time allotted to find the issue, but the report said "Multiple faults stored in central electronics J519 for ambient lights, no communication, as well as data bus branch 6 malfunction". They also tested power to the bulbs via data bus as correct, which would explain why they come on occasionally for a short period of time. They described this as a wiring issue said it'll likely take 3 hours to diagnosis and repair (or more "depending"). They quoted $525 + HST CAD, but said it could be more $$$ to fix the issue. This car is only 4 years old and it seems odd that it's experiencing wiring issues already. I love the ambient lighting, but is it really worth the money they are asking to repair?

Hi All,
We got our 22 Q7 about a month ago. Just noticed that the ambient lights all of a sudden stopped working on our doors. Both front and back. I'm thinking it's somewhat a setting, because when i start the car up, the door lights turns red for a few seconds than it turns off.
Is there a setting somewhere i must have enabled to disable this? When I'm in the MMI and goto the vehicle > Lighting > Interior lighting to manage the light colors, brightness, etc, and everything looks correct. Also, the center console area light strip and the area by glovebox has the lights on and working. it's just the doors.
Has anyone seen this?
