Tirerack just started carrying the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season in the 285 45r21 size. Not a high performance all season though. I'm hoping for the Continental DWS06 in the standard size. I thought I read somewhere that going to the 295 sized DWS06 the minimum rim width that Continental recommends is a half inch wider than the standard 21" Audi rims.

I am looking at MICHELIN PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4 Ultra High Performance All-Season - Size: 285/40ZR21 109Y XL. Has anyone had them? I have always had Michelin’s on all my Sedans so far and love them but have no experience with them on a SUV. So wanted to know if folks have any opinions.

I have the winter setup 275/45/21s Atturro Aw730, excellent winter tire. Car looks/feels good. 45 is good cush for winter, especially. For summers has 22"s, but on 40s.

From my review on tirerack.com, it looks like the Continental ExtremeContact DWS-06 Plus is the top-rated tire in the Ultra High Performance All-Season category, and is marginally higher in every subcategory (wet traction, dry traction, etc.) than the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, as well as is cheaper to boot. However, the Michelin is available in my OEM tire size of 285/40ZR21 while it looks like the closest size for the Conti for my Q7's Audi Sport 21" rims would be 295/40ZR21. Does anyone know if the 295 Conti's would fit ok on my rims?.

Here is a tire calculator to tell you the dimensional differences. based on this, it doesn’t look like an issue.
