We tow a 5000 lb RV trailer often and have an even mix of hwy and city driving hence why I'm impressed pad are still at 40%. Audi brake jobs are not cheap as each wheel also has a brake sensor to replace once pads are redone.
impressive. i have to assume literally all highway miles when towing? how much stop and go traffic do you have?

also how have the rear brakes held up? I know they go faster if you have DAP (ACC) because the brake bias is towards the rear to keep the car level when it slows down automatically for a smoother more refined ride...

Rears were within 5% of the fronts so I'm sensing good OEM materials to get 95k out of the first set of pads and STILL have 40%. I drove 22k a year two a trailer about 5 days a month. Still only 40% hwy miles. New front rotors at 95k was not a shocker and could be tow related..... Granted I drive around town lightly not very aggressive.

I drive my car like it is a lawn mower, on or off. I have been doing brakes nearly every 30K or so and plan for that. Kudos to you on getting that much life out of your brakes though.

I get the thickness variation. Question I have is why do I only notice the pedal pulsation when the rotors are heated up such as long braking from high speed down hill and do not feel it under normal braking?
