That's normal.. Mine does the same thing when you first start it up.. I think its just running a system check.. Same with the brake pedals clicking when you first get the car going over 20mph..

A few times I have gotten a message that pre sense and side assist have been deactivated. It always occurs randomly while I am driving along and eventually goes away after some time.

Usually this will happen when there is something blocking the sensors.. If you get in direct line of the sun, sometimes the traffic sign recognition malfunction sign will come up..

Any idea how I can get this off my dashboard? It's been coming up now for weeks and I've washed the car hoping that it would clear the sensors??

scan the car for codes and let us know what you find. there are lots of complex systems with these cars and any number of things could be wrong and preventing the pre-sense system from functioning properly. keep us posted.

I just took my 2017 Q7 to the dealer for some recall items, one of them was an update to the camera on the windshield and I was hoping it would fix the "Audi pre-sense malfunction, see service" error and it did. (so far anyways). I had the same light on at the bottom of the cockpit as well.
