Long list of items obviously - big job from the dealer.

Wow, what an ordeal.
Our 2018 has only 33000km on it (like 21k miles) and I noticed the oil level shows around half between max/min the MMI after only 7500km (or 5000 miles) since the last oil change.
I'm taking the car in next week for the quattro rumble that has come back (first time they changed the rear differential fluid I think). So while there I'll ask about oil consumption. Not nearly as bad as yours but it does seem these engines have this problem overall...

Default 2017 Oil Consumption

I haven driven my 2017 Q7 Prestige 800+ miles since I did an oil change to Liqui Moly 5w-40. I just had the light come on telling me to add a quart. I did so.
Driving here in Texas with the OAT between 85 and 109 degrees (tending toward the high end when I am driving), am I going to see that kind of consumption?

one quart in 800 miles? you have a serious issue on your hands. I don't think my Q7 consumed more than 3/4 of a quart in 5000 miles ever...

I gave up fighting the dealer. Now I just swing by for free oil top-offs between changes. Any Audi dealer should do that for you.

Just got back from a hard 10k mile vacation in my '19 Q7. I was towing a 5k travel trailer and at max GVWR for the Q7. Drove it hard, up and down steep mountains without any issues. At right about the 10k mile point I got the "Add oil" message. I had the vehicle serviced the day before I went on the trip, so she was topped off. 1 quart after driving a hard 10k miles doesn't seem outrageous to me.

1 Quart every 10K miles is great.

What's your current mileage?

2018 Q7 with 35k kilometers on it. Had 7k after the last service and the oil level was 3/4 down in the oil level meter. Was going on a 1000km trip so I topped it up at the dealer (used 600ml). Towing a 5000lb trailer after the 1000km trip it shows another 1/4 down (so probably has burned about 800ml over 8000km). Will go for the next service in a couple of weeks. Seems this is considered "normal" for these vehicles, although doesn't seem normal to me.

3/4 qt in 7k km is not bad and well within 'spec'. Every engine consumes some amount of oil, some more than others. In the manual, it states Audi allows for 1 qt per 1200 miles and considers that normal/acceptable. For comparison, BMW has very similar acceptable consumption rates (1 qt / 1500 mi for most of their engines, 2.5 quarts / 1000 mi for M engines i.e. S62). Whether everyone agrees with it is another thing. You can have the dealer do the consumption test (fill, drive for 630 miles, drain to measure and see what the delta is) and see if it fails, that's the first step. If it doesn't, there isn't much they can do but monitor and see if it gets worse.

that is awesome. regardless if you are driving gently or beating on the car and/or towing I would recommend 5K OCIs for peace of mind.

agreed, that is very very good. there are a lot of us who dream about only consuming 1qt every 10K miles...
