That's great news. Did Audi reimburse you for the oil consumption test?

This is great! I am planning to drive mine until 2025 and switch over to EV SUV from Porsche, Lucid, Rivian, MB, but not Tesla since there are too many on the road already.

Took mine in for the 10k Audicare service. Told them it's thirsty for oil - we've added 4 qts in the 10k miles - WTF.

They had a TSB and are running a long term test. Told me to bring it back when it's about 1/3rd full. Hope I remember to check before it tells me it's low on oil.

shoot i am little concerned with my oil consumption now, I just added 3rd qts in the last 7500 miles, I am at little over 87500 now. If I remember correctly, I only added up to 1 qt in 10,000 miles service interval.

2017 Q7 3.0L 145K miles - 3 weeks back i had it in the shop for a PCV/oil seperator replacement ($3K) service to address the oil consumption issue. i was going through approximately 2/3 quart of oil every tank fuel of gas. i drive approximately 120 miles a day, 4 days a week to work then more normal weekend travel. luv my vehicle but the oil consumption issue baffling. immediately after the repair my oil consumption disappeared for maybe 3 weeks and gas mileage went up nearly 1.5mpg (27mpg - highway) with no drop in the oil level at all. Suddenly last week the oil consumption is back right were it was.

ive got a call into the local Audi service shop for a response. more information to follow.

this issue is causing me to rethink my plans to purchase a new Audi (SQ8). everytime i go into the shop the service technicians are shocked that i drive as many miles as i do and act like the car should be replaced with 145K miles. SERIOUSLY!!! i used to get 300+K out of my GMC SUV's.

Is this 2.0t or 3.0t?

So the 3.0t has an oil separator. Does the 2.0t have one?

yes - problem is its a full day more like a 2 day repair. the part isnt the big cost ($200). they have to get down to the block to replace. 10-hours of labor.
