Default 2015 Q7 83,000 Miles

I am now up to 1 quart of oil every 300 miles...unbelievable to me. Have had it at the dealer four times fo oil consumption, and after spending over $1,000.00 to fix the issue, the dealer FINALLY is doing an oil use test. Always serviced at the Audi dealership. I have contacted AA and they tell me they haven't had the problem on 3.0s. I'm calling BS on them and the dealer. I have an extended warranty (bought from the Audi dealer) but now am told it probably won't cover piston RING issues. I can't imagine spending $10K to $15K to repair Audi's problem. Suggestions Please...

Read your service contract. My was purchased from Audi and it was administered by Fidelity. My dealer told me you have to spend money to prove its a oil consumption issue before they fix it. Its how the dealer writes the work order. The fidelity contract allows you to go outside Audi to get it fixed.

2017. 120K miles. Only highway miles. Rigorously serviced. 1 quart every 1000 miles. Never had a car that needed this much oil before. Was I just lucky?

Default 2017 Q7 3.0L Update - 180,000 miles

update - Nov 16, 2022 - just turned 180,000 miles. oil consumption up to a full quart every 500miles. gas mileage has dropped down to 23m/gal. surprised its that good. no distinct noise, no smell, no noticeable leaks under the hood or under chassis. mechanic stated its burning it off.
36K miles per year.

No, a modern car should not consume 1 quart every 1000 miles even after 120k miles.

add me to the list with an 18 Q7 consuming oil, and when I called the dealer they said yes this is common as they get up in mileage, at 65k now. Only advice was to top it off.

My Oil cap was very hard to take off. I could turn it but I needed a lot of force to take it off.
I also heard a higher pitched sound coming from the engine bay which I was told was indicative of the pcv valve leaking.
I also scanned the error code for it. It actually did not show up as a check engine light. Out of frustration I scanned for it. I would not have known otherwise
I just got this today, first came a high-pitched sound, then I tried to take off the oil cap and it required a lot of force, lastly, the check engine light turned on. Is this the sound of the failed PCV which will cost me roughly $2000 to fix at the dealer? I will take it to my local shop and see how much they will charge. I am at a little over 105000 miles right now and add 1 qt every 1000-1500 miles, let's see what this PCV fix will do to my oil consumption.
