I have thought about extended warranty for a month and read the threads about this in the forum.
I even got the quotes from several dealers and close to buy it.
However , I kept thinking why I should worry about something may or may not happen in 4 years and fork the cash to the dealer.
It's not like health insurance which you must use it someday so I eventually pass it and enjoy my Q7.
If it really needs a major repair after warranty, I just trade it in to get another car.

I put a lot of miles on my car, and my Q7 has Adaptive Chassis, Virtual Cockpit, etc., so for me it was worth it to not have to worry (as much) about some of that stuff should it break / need fixing.

We keep our cars a long time, so we ponied up for the 10 year/120k mile platinum plan. We don't have the adaptive suspension, but there's plenty of pricey equipment in the Prestige and Driver Assistance Packages, so we figure if it needs 2 solid repairs over the 6 years it'll pay for itself.
