Audi Q7 2018 Apple CarPlay problem
After updating to 11.2 iOS on my iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple CarPlay does not come up anymore. It was working fine until then. Any suggestions?

Carplay sometimes gets locked up for me. Several times when I've had Spotify playing via Carplay, switch to something else in the MMI such as NAV, and then go back to Carplay, the MMI doesn't open Carplay. Music still plays in the car though. Car companies like locking down their interfaces and Apple definitely likes to lock down their ecosystem, so while the two companies probably see some benefit from working together, maybe their animal instincts keep them from being too friendly with one another.

I would try a hard restart of the phone and a reset of the MMI (Nav + Radio buttons forward and hold then press down on center ****).
If that doesn't do it, then disable car play on both and set up from scratch.

I switched Bluetooth settings off under audi smartphone interface. It immediately found the apple carplay after that. Then it wouldn't play my phone media saying that there was not Bluetooth & to activate Bluetooth. When I activated under iphone (as a mobile device) Bluetooth (I just chose yes for activating), it started working. So it had to do something with the Bluetooth settings. Now everything works fine. Carplay starts when I connect to cable & the media player plays when not connected
