I installed the ones bought from Amazon, just plug and play. Took about 5 minutes to install on all four doors. These need to be pushed in little hard compared to the OEM into door bottom cutout for the puddle light. Very satisfied with the Audi Rings w/Audi red letters.

OEM is vastly better than Amazon.

Completely agree. I ordered the OEM for the front and the cheap ones for the rear doors. The amazon cheap ones are dim and cheap looking when directly compared to OEM. But cheap ones are for the rear doors so who cares. LOL

All of mine are OEM now, took this when I was changing them out.

I think OEM is the way to go. I have the rings for the front doors, will install the "quattro" ones in the back for a different look.

Just got some OEM's installed...can't really see them at all during the day (it's pretty bright out now). On a very sunny day, can one still clearly see the OEM's?

I had no idea that if you opt for the beam rings you dont get any puddle lights at all on the rear doors! I just picked up my 2020 SQ5 today, and the spot where the puddle light should be is just filled in with some foam sponge. Whats the best way to remove that? and is the wiring harness in there to just plug in some OEM lights?
also read in another thread that you're not supposed to use puddle lights in the rear doors if you have the B and O system?

Why are you asking this in the Q7 forum?
