Just FYI, for those with facelift Q7 models (20+), I completed retrofit myself last night, seems pretty much the same as for earlier 4M, based on info I managed to find, coding matches the one posted on youtube for A4 B9 retrofit.
Nothing too complicated but I was a bit more careful taking dash trim pieces apart. Took aprox 3 hours with no coffee breaks. Love it so far.
Do you have your ABS module coding by chance? I'm doing this on my 2019 and so far the ABS module will not take the coding.
I figured it out. The ABS module coding security access code of S11820 was accepted but resulted in the long coding being rejected. VCDS suggests two adaptation security access codes. I tried the first of these, and the long coding was accepted. Not sure why the coding security code didn't work and the adaptation security access code did. Hope this helps someone in the future. I did this with the Ali Express hold button & wiring kit, seems like a knockoff of the 4Rings version since you have to swap power/ground wires from the parking brake button. I already had VCDS and the Ali kit was about $60, plus a few hours of my time working slowly.
