Blacked out rear between lights (like Q8)
Hi everyone,
as i'm waiting for my car delivery i got an idea that i want to test....
I love my spec but I kinda don't like Q7 rear, front is really agressive, especially with black optic but the rear is bland. I do absolutely love Q8 rear end - especially the light strip and black between the rear lights. So i photoshopped a similar black line between the lights on my future Q7. What do you guys think? I really seem to like it but maybe it's just me and in reality it will look very tacky? How to achieve it in real life? Is there something like this made out of plastic i can buy (i've looked but my search hasent given any results so far).... Or i could let some wrapping company do it with a sticker.... hmmmm
My order (still to be delivered)

It doesn't look terrible and I don't hate it, but don't think I would do it but that's me.. Then again, I'm sure it will look different on an actual Q7 compared to a rendering.. To carry the BOP to the back I would get the black Audi rings and black out the reflectors in the rear bumper.

Would also make a great aftermarket mod especially if it was high gloss black. It’s be an interesting mod with wrap. Great idea.
BTW, I added UR rings to mine and absolutely love them. You can get them from the UK. They’re also spec so up close they have a very cool signature and also fade out as they carry to the last ring. PS, they are challenging to mount!

Exactly, my initial idea was that there has got to be this mod, probably someone has made it with black glossy plastc... but so far i haven’r found any similar mods. It would definately look better than wraping. Anyways i think i’ll try it out because it seems very cheap to do. I wonder how can i remove the logo rings and later attach them back safelu?

Considering the Q8 and refresh Q7 this mod would sell well. Optic would be nice also.
