It is a genuine Audi product and a plug-n-play installation, in spite of trim needing to be removed. It does not alter any major - or even minor - function of the vehicle in any way. No possibility of voiding the warranty, if properly installed.

For those who bought the UTR, the only way to download the UTR app from the iTunes is to create a European (I chose a UK based) Apple ID and download the app that way. US iTunes store will not have it as the app is region-locked.

Just get the Owl Camera. Much better and no SD cards. Downloads right to your phone.

An Owl cam that sticks out in the middle of my dash and is lte only, isn't for me - will take UTR over it any day. The only cam I would consider over the UTR is the new Blackvue dr900s.

They make a lot of great cameras. I like the owl because it plugs into the OBD port and is always on.

After I pick up my car from the installer tomorrow, will test out and report back on the UTR. My preference is to choose whatever can be integrated with the car "natively" rather than go aftermarket if at all possible (RSE is one unfortunate exception with Q7).

My car has 4 cameras. It would be nice to just record all of them with a simple playback method.
