Driving Mode

The fuel consumption is influenced by what mode the transmission is in. Normally when activating Dynamic mode, the transmission goes into S, which will hold gears longer and use a more aggressive throttle map, so yes, your fuel consumption will go up. However, when the engine is stopped and started again, the transmission will start out in D, so it's back to the fuel efficient mode, even though the rest of the car is still in Dynamic mode. At any time you can toggle manually between D and S by pulling down on the shifter.
