I’ve been trying to think what safety systems the front camera might affect. The lane minder is the only thing I can think of.
The lane assist camera is on the windshield, front camera is parking aid only.

Thanks. That makes sense because the lane assist seems to function just fine with the camera smashed.

If it’s only a parking aid, seems like there’s nothing to calibrate other than MAYBE the lines and the top-view mesh.

The issue is when replacing the front grill camera is that you need to remove the front bumper to get at it. The bumper has sensors mounted in the corners, which is why calibration may be needed.

I successfully replaced my camera yesterday with a <$100 part from e-bay and bumparker’s written instructions, including the superglue trick mentioned above. It’s no joke that it’s a tight squeeze! My hands are swollen and sore today. It took a few hours and most of that time was spent struggling with getting the camera and bracket properly seated and keeping it that way while getting the screws started.
