We have the subscription for Google Earth and like it better as our navigation display option. It seems to take 60-90 seconds after startup for Google Earth to initialize and then replace the standard Google Maps display. Every once in a while, it never does switch. Some times the only way to get back to Google Earth is to go in to Map Display options (right button) and change the Display Option from Standard back to Google Earth.
Anyone figure out how to get Google Earth to "stick"?
Thanks much!

I've had that happen a few times - but i haven't had that problem in a while. I honestly i'm looking forward to have Google maps and Waze to be on Carplay. While I like that it has google maps, the routing and traffic is based on INRIX - which can be wildly inaccurate.

I've had that happen 3 times or so in the 5 months that I've had my S5, and I haven't found a pattern to it. It works fine most of the time for me.
Almost all of the complaints that I have about the latest MMI involve failure to reliably retain settings (such as the top-down camera view and some issues with display music track info), and this is just another on that list.
