To our dismay, a parking sensor acts up on our new Q7, which we just took delivery. The sensor is stuck at the "on" position. Everytime the car comes to a stop, the parking view shows up on the screen with the problematic sensor showing very close proximity (constant beep). Have to push the parking button to close the parking view (and stop the beep). Sometimes, however, when you restart the car the sensor works just fine. This must be a rare problem - didn't find anyone mentioning this with a google search.

Usually I've found that it is caused by condensation on the outside of the sensor or in rare cases inside it. (think of the sensor like a camera). Schedule and appointment and I'm sure Audi will take care of you. (Just speak to the Service manager if you have problems) they usually don't want the hassle of you going to the owner and causing ruckus.

Perhaps it's a leaky sensor that has condensation inside. My sales rep examined the sensors before he ordered the part. I'm surprised they don't keep a few spare parking sensors around...

@zelosu I appreciate the link. I will try checking off the auto-activation. The problem with my car is that even with no car ahead of me, the broken sensor still turns on and produces a continuous beep. At least deactivating it will stop the annoying beep until I get it fixed.
