Just did mine. Counter-clockwise to raise them. Takes a 6mm hex wrench.

Cool, that's helpful. Did you make note regarding the number or turns you did? I've seen 1 and 2 full turns mentioned.

I did one full turn. I was really close to the garage door, so while I could see that I raised them, I have no idea how much higher 100-200 ft in front of the car. Have not had a chance to test drive yet.

I tweaked the contrast on 1stq7's photo so you can see it better. Both sides look the same on my Q7. No covers need to be removed. 6mm hex key goes in the slot that sits just forward of the raised rectangular area in the plastic panel.
