For those who dare, there might be a glimmer of hope for matrix LEDs retrofits

This came from their retrofit section here

Yeah I've been eyeing them for awhile. Haven't decided if I'm going to pull the trigger or not. The biggest issue is hardly anyone has the adequate equipment to properly aim the high beam matrix function here in the states.
I've still trying to figure out what all else is involved. Additional wiring? Additional coding? Etc.

There is a guy that retrofitted the LED to the MATRIX over at VWAF forums. To my knowledge after months of work they still are not functioning properly. From looking at the actual wiring diagrams, there are changes that need to be made in multiple parts of the car. Nevermind having to take off the front bumper just to get at the lights. The scope of work has kept me from doing my xenon to LED conversion just because of the time sink involved, never mind the unknown of figuring out how to program in ODIS.

At this type of expense, I'm not even sure why this is desirable. HW and programming will be north of $6k alone and let alone the bumper removal etc. I'm disappointed with Audi LEDs to start with, but I wont waste a penny more on them.

I agree with you, Audi's LED are easily outshined by other cars headlights that are behind me. I guess they did not balance low beam/high beam voltage properly, high beams are pretty bright, blindingly bright in dark conditions, but low beams are very dim, and spread is not even either. I thought my X5's LED's were bad.
