Default Noise at start
2018 Audi q7 3.0T have weird noise at start. Not at cold start, but warm start. Does anyone the same issue. Thanks

Are you referring to that slight rattle noise as the RPM come down after you rev it? If so, pretty sure that's the flex pipes rattling slightly. Mine does it too. When cold, the metal has not expanded yet thus only doing it when warm.

Yes, that’s exactly what I am hearing. So did you get it fixed or just live with it?

I just live with it. I rarely hear it unless I have the windows down. The slight rattle has no functional impact but more of an annoyance. Flex pipes eventually wear out and need replacing but unless there's a hole causing an exhaust leak, I would just leave it.

Thanks for let me know. Just every time I turn on my Q7 I will hear it out side the car. Glad there is no issue. Then I don’t have to spend time and money at the dealer. Thanks again.

Both of my older S4’s and my SQ5 made same noise.
