I took too Audi they said it was steering rack and the tsb I showed them didn’t apply and quoted me 4K and of course we took the paperwork back to the dealer they refused to fix it, so we got our Escalade back and went about an hour out and found one with no issues so far

My steering wheel is a little creaky maybe. Nothing that is really bothering me. At the end of the day the car should definitely not do this... but whatever.

They should...
I'm getting this pop at full lock on left at very slow speed as well. What is it?

Lower control arm bushings. See if the dealer will do it under "goodwill", if not, see a local indy mechanic.

Same issue here but intermittent. It does not seem that temperature affects us like others (?)
2017 Q7. 60k mile check yesterday, the dealer told us that our clockspring is going bad. It seems dealers are all over the place on this one trying to diagnose. I wonder if 'in warranty' vs 'out of warranty' has anything to do with the diagnoses....

Since the issue in the most cases is dry rubber grommet, I did the following - sprayed the grommet with AT205 (
Amazon Amazon
)

this stuff is excellent, works very well to recondition rubber, I have used it server all times over the mast few years.

after a week I sprayed in some silicone lubricant, no noise.. it's been 2 summers and did not cost me more than $20

hope this helps

ps: 2017 Audi Q7

Where is the location of the rubber seal? Is it the one where the steering shaft goes through the firewall?
