Nokian winters for Q7
I was thinking of getting a winter setup for my Q7 and looked at the Nokians. I was surprised that nokians do not make any winter tires in 285/40 20 inch size.I was wondering if there is a different size that would fit the 20 inch rims on the Q7.I have the Nokian Hakkapaletta on my other car and they have been phenomenal.

I have 275/45/20 Nokian Hakka R2 since last winter on my '17 Q7. Awesome winter tires. Less than 1mph speedometer error at 70mph.
If your rim isn't too wide, you can also use 255/50/20 Hakka R2 which will nearly have the same rolling diameter as stock.

Did you mean 275/45/20? That's the stock 20" size for the Q7 mk2.

Yes, I meant 285/45/20 is the stock size for Q7 mk2. I have 275/45/20 size Hakka R2 for winters. I mounted them on factory 20" Audi wheels taken from a 2014 Q5 TDI S-line. Perfect fit, with no need for spacers, since the mk2 Q7 now shares the same bolt pattern and center bore as the Q5/SQ5, and the offset is nearly the same or at least fall within the recommended range for both models.
The set of Hakka R2 cost me $1100 mounted and balanced. Got an Audi club discount at a local tire shop.

And BTW I'm also looking for a set of winter tires and did a lot of research on the net. The only ones available are Pirelli Scorpion Winter and Good Year UltraGrip 8 Performance. Does anybody have any experience with these two tires? Can you please recommend or not recommend any of the them? Thank you

See my post on this. I found the correct size. It is the exact same diameter as the 285mm tires, and is the same size that Audi offers in Europe:

You can also use 265/50R20 which is slightly taller, and 275/45R20 that is slightly less tall.

Mine were $952.68 last week shipped on eBay. I see they are now $1005.52.
There are two dealers with the best prices. tires-easy, and tiresbyweb. They also sell on Amazon, and off their own website.
Note mine are the expensive studded ones. I could have saved $250 and got Blizzaks in this size.
Local installation will be $60 to $80 or so the first time, and Town Fair tire will do swaps for $40 after they are no longer new tires. And if you are a customer for other tires, they will even honor that if you didn't buy that specific set from them.

Unrelated but Nokians are amazing tires, not dedicated winter but had winter oriented all terrain Vatiiva's for 4 years, one of the most plush yet grippy and most responsive tires I had, very good water performance in deep rain, minimal hydroplaning. I don't know if they still make these or if they come in compatible sizes, but they are very good tires.
