Yes, you do need an internet connection I believe. You can find your car wifi password under the wifi settings and then hotspot.

Was planning to get OBDeleven Pro, but wondering if it can turn off the "service due" indicator message and enable the VIM (video in motion). Thanks!

VIM can be done with OBDeleven via an app that you purchase with credits. You can earn credits by watching ads or you can buy them. I think the VIM app works out to about $10.

I saw something about coding to turn off the service reminder somewhere in the forums, but unfortunately, I don't remember where.

New app is now showing up : "Heater Unlock" for 10 credits!

It says, "this function unlock auxiliary heater."

Anybody knows what it does?

Reading on the various forums, it wasan electric heater installed on diesel cars to speed up the interior windshield defrost because the diesels took longer than the gas engines to heat up.
Not sure the Q7 has the electric heater installed for this hack to function.

enabling it also allows you to run the fan in the main system every so often, or for a certain time after turning off

FYI, this won't turn off the "service due" message.

Has anyone noticed a difference in the A/C fan from the lowest setting (one bar) to the next one up (two bars)? To me there seems to be a big difference in the amount of air blowing out. I was wondering if anyone came across the code to adjust the speed of the fan similar to the ventilation setting. Would love to increase the fan speed a bit for the lowest setting.

Good morning all. Does any of this coding work on the 2016 A6 or has anyone tried them on the 2016 A6?
I have enabled needle sweep, inclinometer and traffic sign recognition with Ross Tech VCDS. Needle sweep functions well but traffic sign recognition is greyed out and says " Selected system is currently not available ". It's same situation with inclinometer; also greyed out and " selected system is not currently available. BTW, I have a US car in Germany so not sure if that makes a difference.
Also something totally not related to all this. But has anyone been able to download or update the owners manual to the MMI hard drive? So on the MMI there's an option for owners manual. But when selected it says " No owners manual is available. Start update now? Yes/No." It provides the option to update online or USB or CD. I've played with it since I took delivery of the car and nothing happens.
