I don't. Though I don't think there's any harm in doing that. But are there any real time values that the OBDeleven shows?

I do. I'll make sure I take it out for servicing.

The leds are present in the car but Audi has supposedly cut the wires providing supply to it. You need to open the panel up and redo the wiring and change leds and stuff. There is a thread somewhere here or in the A4 sub forum on how to go about it.
not hard to do this. I am in the process of doing this. I have exit warning led strips but no ambient lighting. Just ordered some more led modules and will fit and wire up to 12v supply. Only difference to ambient lighting is that you only have one colour unless you change led globes.

I left mine in there. It doesnt hurt. There are a few auto insurers that issue dongles to monitor your driving, and those are left in 24/7.

He he. I have righttrack (liberty mutual) plugged in. Because of that, I can't use my OBDeleven for three months.

Seriously? Does that also mean you cannot take your car in for service?

Slightly off topic, but I did RightTrack and it was a terrible decision. You may get a discount this year, but they'll use it to shaft you for years to come. I did it with a car that was 1/3 as powerful as my Q7 and got a 7% discount (5% is the minimum) - can only imagine if I did it in the Q7. The definition of hard acceleration and braking is extremely conservative.

Supposedly yes. But I might say screw it and take it out if I get impatient. But having two other cars in the garage helps.

I picked up an OBDeleven recently, and while it worked the first time I hooked it up, every subsequent attempt to code the vehicle provides me with the error "description data not found" (specifically in Central Electrics, but it occurs in a few other modules as well). I've tried posting on the support forums and e-mailed support a couple times over the past couple weeks with no response.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Not only with the error, but with support? I get that it may be a small operation, and maybe there are delays because of the holiday season, but I am losing faith that the developer stands behind the product.
