I played around with this before but enabled via coding Byte 1 Bit 3. Remember you need to move for it to start from memory.

Hi, Gang!
New OBDeleven user. Like many, I'm unable to access any of the Adaptations in 09-Central Electrics, and keep getting the error "description data not found" when I try. After scouring the interests, it appears the general consensus is that I'm getting this error because my Q7 has newer firmware and the developer is waiting on something to fix the issue. Just wanted to see if anyone else has found a resolution to this as of 2/2/2017.

The OBDeleven app was just updated yesterday (v0.8.3.6), not sure if the update fixes this issue for newer firmware Q7s.

I have the same problem with my August 2016 build Q7. Any changes that are made to module 5F and then saved result in the 'something went wrong' error.

I've been in contact with OBDEleven support and they advise me they need a new database from VW and this has just been agreed in the last few weeks. No idea if what happens next, whether it's something the app downloads or relies on a new app update.

Quite frustrating as I advised the error to them about 3 months ago.

I had this issue too but resolved it by going into my phone's application settings for the ODB app. I deleted the cache and data and then was able to get it to work.

I've tried that too, several times, and sent logs to OBDEleven. They reckon a new database is required. What build date is your Q7?

So, I got a reply similar to many other forum members from the Voltas IT Tech Support: apparently, sometime after Q2 2016 Audi updated its Data Bus with new parameters that aren't included in their data-map. They are in the process of signing the usage agreement with VAG that entitles them to update their data-map and integrate the new parameters into a future build of their app. They did not give me an ETA on when they expect this to be resolved. In the meanwhile, if you're like me and have a September 2016 build date (or later) on a 2017 Q7, and somehow get the app to read/write settings in the 09-Central Electrics section, let me know.
Thanks!
