I've enabled high beam assist using:

09 - Central Electrics- Coding->high_beam_functions->high-beam assistant.

Is this suppose to be automatic? I have basic pre sense and only time it's on (I see the high beam symbol on the dash with "auto" under it) is if I push the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel towards the front of the car.

Sadly you do have to manually activate.

Is the obd11 useable on other brands of vehicles?

Check their website for the most up to date list but certainly Audi, VW, Seat & Skoda.

I wish it was. Evidently that just turns the feature "on", but you need to still press the stalk.

I have a October 2016 build q7 prestige. My obdeleven was only able to access some of the modules as of February 17. I got around to tinkering yesterday and was able to code the drivers lane assist successfully and used the supplied high beam assist app. Haven't had the chance to try the high beam assist but the lane assist thing is pretty cool. So if you have a newer build q7 and had issues coding before like 'descriptive data..', try updating your app, mine works flawlessly now
