Default Port Installed Options

What is the reasoning that Port Installed Options can't be changed or deleted? I purchased a dealer allotment arriving the end of next month and it has $800 worth of Port Installed options that will go in the trash.

Sounds like your dealer just wants the markup... Unless it is already passed the lock period, then they simply can't make changes.

Q7 was built on 2/1 arriving end of March. Why no changes when it's port installed?

I believe they can remove them up until the car gets to port.

Once again, thanks for your input. My dealer just canceled all port installed options. $800 that I never would use. Additionally, all options are available through Audi Parts considerably less expensive than at the port!

How does Audi get away with pricing LMC - USB Cable at $120! This is a $10 part.

I guess there's labor involved in getting the USB cable into the car! Even the floor mats costs more as oppose to buying it in the store!

I actually opted for the rear-protection load film, costs around $150 as port-installed and it was just $59 at Audi Parts. Of course they installed mine as oppose to me having to install by myself.

I did buy an Audi Lighting cable for about $20 at ebay as opposed to $120 as a port installed option.

Funny, I too added LER @ $115 port install so that I didn't have to deal with it.

This is like the All-weather mats they make you buy if you get Cold weather package. Way more expensive than after-market, but no choice...

I ordered mine with no port installed options and found the things I wanted WAY cheaper from dealers on Ebay. It doesn't make sense that it's more expensive to order than afterward.

I just used a regular lightning cable, no need to buy from Audi.
