Have any Prestige owners out there thought about modifying their footwell lighting? In my wife's Q5, both the front/rear footwell lights mimic the color that has been selected as the Surface Lighting Color. In the Q7, it remains white. I may be nitpicking here, but i'd like to have color throughout my whole cabin. I've turned my Q7 footwell lighting off; but reminded of it as my wife keeps hers at full brightness (red) when we're in her Q5 .
The Q5's LED Lamps (80A947415) fit perfectly in the Q7; although the harnesses are different - two prongs on the Q7, and four on the Q5. I'm pretty sure that if I were to remove the door panel / tap into the surface lights / do a little rewiring / I could get these to work as expected. I'd then be able to change colors and still dim to my desired brightness.
If anyone has done this already, please let me know your experience in doing so, and if you've encountered any issues.
I see no reason. I enjoy having the footwell lighted but I keep it dim. I have been able to closely match the color scheme to the cedar brown leather. It's stunning.

It is a little annoying that light doesn't change with the rest. I've wondered if it's because of choosing the B&O sound system.

Here's a picture of the Q5, with everything set to full brightness, along with the Q7, same color scheme, set to full brightness...
I'm not sure I would keep it at full brightness in my vehicle, but having the option is better than not having the option. The Q5 also has an additional ambient light under the door handle...
