Default Sirius Trial Subscription

So a couple days ago we were talking about that it's weird that the Sirius was still on 6mo after getting the car considering the car only came with a 3mo trial subscription.
Today we received a letter from Sirius stating that the car was never registered due to a computer glitch and it will now end in March.

Anyone else on the same glitch boat?

Yep, and we might have bought our Q7's from the same dealership. An oversight or a perk?

Same thing with mine, purchased in June in Alabama. Extended through March.

Yup happened to me too. I bought my Q7 from The Bay Area. It made me think of my friend who bought an Acura ten years ago and his Sirius trial never expired. I guess this sort of thing happens.

Bought my Q7 in June. After reading this thread, I just now realized that I never did renew my SiriusXM subscription and it's still on trial period with seemingly all the SiriusXM channels available. I have yet to receive a letter or notification either. So I guess I will ride out this extended trial period until I hear from them, now going on 7 months.

Must be fairly widespread.

My car was delivered in June in Nashville. Got the same letter, now trial expires in March.

Btw. I call BS on their pricing. For the past 5 or so years, when they send me a bill I call their Customer Support line and speak to the 'remove service' people. I explain that I only drive my cars 5-10k a year (true), and don't get value out of a $200+ annual subscription. After some back and forth I explain, though, that I would be willing to continue at the (was $99, now ~$125) introductory annual rate. Frankly there are too many commercials on SiriusXM -- I end up listening to NPR or my music/podcasts most of the time.

How did you manage that? I recall some folks on other threads saying they waited for a call right before their trial was about to expire..
