They called me a few times and I kept missing them. I waited until I had a day left and called them back. I said I don't listen that much and will probably cancel it. They gave me the low rate but said it'd be renewed at the normal rate. I said fine. I'll call them before it renews to go through the process again. I've read people are successful doing this over and over. Kind of a pain but well worth it.

I like all access so I can listen to Howard Stern on my iPad with my morning coffee.

I'm one of those people too with 3 cars on the plan, well worth 30 minutes to an hour out of my life, they are not easy to deal with but 99% you end up successful.

Speaking of which, my SXM subscription should be expiring...better check my cc. It may be time for the call

I refuse to give them a cc, I pay an extra $3.00 for paper billing, and I send them a check, I was burnt once with them and gave up trying to get a refund, well worth the extra $3.00 to me.

a) Don't sign up for 'auto-pay'. b) when your annual bill arrives, call to cancel. c) authorize your payment as a 'one time deal'.

When I renewed my plan after the trial ($5/mo for 6 months), I used a virtual credit card number that had a set limit and expired before the auto-renewal date, and that caused Sirius to contact me without charging me. They ended up offering me the same deal again.

I have renewed for 50% off for 10+ years now.

All 3 of my vehicles are scheduled to expire on the same day (Feb 10). I will call a few days prior, demand the same 50% off rate I got last year, and will get it. I have always given them a CC, and have never had issues. The key is to call just before auto renew date. I also log into my account and can watch live as they do the updates, to include amount charged. Typically takes less than 30 minutes to renew all 3 vehicles in one call.
